Paint Kit
These are the pdf files used in Photoshop to create the metallic and
camouflage textures used in the simulator. Anyone familiar with
Photoshop shouldn't have too much trouble figuring them out.
There are a few things to note however:
- The psd files for the main fuselage contain two layers specific to the afterburner lighting. These are the AB light and the Amb Occl AB layers. When these layers are used, the Amb Occl layer should be turned off. This should generate a decent texture that should be saved as the file backEndAB.png.
With the afterburner lighting layers turned off, and the Amb Occl
layer on, this should be saved to the file "CF-104.png".
- To create the backEndAB_Lit.png file, I used the CF-104.png file
and used an orange light in the photoshop "Filter-Render-Lighting
Effects" window. I placed the light behind the tail to create the
night-time afterburner glow. I also lit up the bottom of the
hstab a bit.
- I've included a sample lit texture with the formation
lights. There is one layer on there with the lights. The
light bleeding on the fuselage was created using spot lights in
Photoshop so you'll have to come up with something similar to create
the LIT textures as I have no idea who to create layers for these.
You'll need to create these textures using the current ones as
examples:
- backEndAB_LIT.png
- CF-104_LIT.png - same as above without afterburner glow
- tipTank_left_LIT.png
- tipTank_right_LIT.png
